Few days ago , I was passing through a Temple walking after the sunset.
It was a small temple complex , with many deities. Though basically it was a Shiva temple in the center , small temples of other Devas were surrounded , and in all of them Sandhya Vandanam was going on.
In one such temple of Mother Kalika , a priest was reading Ramanayam and few old ladies and gentlemen were listening.I was not listening to anything , not even myself , yet a sound just hit my head as one of the devotees asked the priest , " who is greater - mother Kali or Lord Ram ! - who should i pray to if i need moksha! "
- i was shocked ! this is the condition of common people under hinduism !
I was even more shocked when the priest answered ! He said "Mahakali is dangerous so fear her , lord Ram is soft , so love him , do not compare !"
Regardless of Spiritual knowledge , we have been uprooted from our culture by skillful elimination of Sanskrit language.
Mother Kali - is Mahamaya , Bhrambha Vidya , the opposite of kalika is Shiva , the terrific , the intense VOID.
Where as Rama , if we decompress it according to sanskrit -
राम = र्+आ+म्+अ = र् +अ+अ+म्+अ
Swara Varna is male and independent; Vyanjan Varna is female and dependent. According to the rule of Panini Grammar “आद्यन्त विपर्ययश्च” in the decompress “राम” अ comes infront so it becomes= अ+र्+अ+अ+म्
Now र् +अ=उ
उ+अ=ओ
ओ+म् = ॐ
So finally we get राम= ॐ
Aum is hidden in Rama this way ,
This is the reason राम (Ram) word is called तारकब्रह्म (tarak Brahma).
Hindus should remember a Devotee should see his or her beloved in every aspect , in everything of life - in a stone , in a tree , in any idol - otherwise he or she is not a devotee.
If a devotee of Kali could not cry in the name of Rama , then his or her devotion is false , it is maligned by purposes.Devotion never follow any rules (like to judge devas who can give faster moksha) , devotion flows ........
Like Shiva is THE VOID , Kalika is the creator of maya , Mahamaya.
Rama is the Primordial sound , and Mata Sita is the Nourish-er as Mahalaxmi.
It does not matter what one do , all ways of Sanatan Dharma takes one to the same knowledge. Knowing Rama or knowing Kali are all the same, the priest should have been said "know one to know the other "
