A Moment in Time
Seeking the path, to fortune untold
I stumbled on, my heart was sore
Unaware, that I was watched
I struggled to find that treasure spot
Searching high & low in vain
I scanned the depths, my feelings pained
Hunger & thirst, thus overcame me
Scared & lonely, my feelings betrayed me
Suddenly from the vortex within
Soft & Melodious a voice did speak
A glow of warmth, my heart at peace
my fear vanquished, my spirit brimmed
A conscience deep inside me moved
Asking me just what I yearn
Digging through the depths within
I spoke aloud, my inner thoughts
In a moment of silence, my life displayed
Past & present, yet future stayed
I asked of it what lay ahead
It smiled at me and then it said
“You dream of future, yet pass it by
You hunger and thirst, but know not why
Trust & Faith you place in me
Your future is but etched in thee”
“Listen to your inner being
Guided with the hand of mine
No matter what your future brings
Your life is but, a moment in time”
